Staff,
I hope this blog finds you rested and rejuvenated after your spring break. As I mentioned in my blog prior to spring break, your Day 6 this Tuesday will be focused on math. In the previous blog, I attached the math protocol for planning out your next steps. You can use these protocols or one of the following online math tutorials, created by Amanda McCarthy and Lisa Skoyan, following our math committee meeting with an EDM consultant.
The first tutorial highlights online resources you can use to differentiate instruction during EDM lessons and also while utilizing math games: Assessment Differentiation System.
This second video tutorial will support your utilization of updated online resources for our current EDM edition. A few helpful pieces in this tutorial are resources with tips to teach the open response, the standards of mathematical practices and the correlation between the EDM and the Common Core State Standards. Updated Resources to go with our Edition of EDM.
The third tutorial highlights the virtual learning community, a new online math game and E toolkit. Online Tools
Our math committee members attended the PD with EDM consultant Barb, and if you want additional information about these resources, please connect with one of those members: Kim Domeier, Michelle Beer, Paula Feyereisen or Jennifer Schwalbach.
